A paint job is only as good as what you put into the prep. That's not a catchphrase - it's just the truth. When we showed up to this bathroom, the ceiling had a busted-out section right next to the exhaust fan. Rough edges, torn drywall paper, an open gap. You can't just roll paint over that and call it a day.

So we didn't. We repaired the ceiling first - patching, skimming, sanding - getting it back to a flat, consistent surface before a single drop of paint went up. That's the part most people never see, but it's exactly what separates a finish that holds up from one that starts peeling or showing ghost lines six months later.

For the top coat, we used Benjamin Moore Aura Bath and Spa. There's a reason we reach for this product in wet spaces. It's built for humidity. It resists moisture without sacrificing the look, and it lays down a clean, even finish that actually belongs in a bathroom - not just any interior paint slapped on a wall.

The walls got the same attention. That deep sage green color reads completely different when the surface underneath is properly prepped and the paint is applied right. No lap marks, no uneven sheen, no rushed edges. The whole room comes together as a cohesive space - ceiling, walls, trim - and that only happens when every step is treated as part of the same job, not an afterthought.

Bathrooms are one of the hardest rooms to paint well precisely because of the moisture. Shortcuts show up fast in there. We do it right the first time so you're not dealing with bubbling or peeling down the road.
